Renting with pets may be easier than you think. While not all rental properties will allow pets, keep in mind that in a nation of pet-lovers the chances are that the landlord may be one.

Raise the subject with the owner or manager of the property and provide a “resume” about your pet’s health and training, including written references from past landlords if you have them. You may also want to offer to sign an agreement that will define appropriate behaviour for the property.
